I’m not a baker, but are there cake stands that are two layers where the top has some hole where long stabilizing spikes poke through to keep it rigid. They’re various lengths so it doesn’t interfere with decorating, but keeps it rigid for transport? Then when you get there you just remove the spiked bottom?

My favorite way is to also freeze the cake before so the frosting holds its shape. This is genius though.
