Today is all about French fries. Every grocery store has what feels like a million different options for frozen French fries, but today we’re going to find out which one reigns supreme. From shoestring to waffle fries, crinkle cut, you name it. By the end of this video, you’ll know which fries to throw in your shopping cart and which ones to leave in the freezer aisle. All right, guys. First up, we have classic, probably my most purchased brand of frozen fries or Ida shoestring. adequately salted, airfried, which all of these fries will be air fried and adequately salted. We got ketchup. It’s giving McDonald’s a little bit. Pretty solid crunch, good texture. They’re better in the ketchup than they are without. Good French fry. I’m going 38 right out the gate. Starting strong or Ida crispy sho string. The super crispy sho string fries from Lamb Weston grown in Idaho. I will say similar in uh thickness, more uniform shape than our previous entry. Those are good. One thing I will say, frozen French fries are probably the best thing that you can buy from the grocery store in the frozen section. Everything else that you would eat, you know, like frozen tenders, frozen wings, frozen pizza pales in comparison to the real thing. But French fries, they hold up. 46. Monster score right out the gate. I also kind of like shoestring fries. So, Red Robin. Yeah. What are you supposed to say? Yum. He said he halfway said Louder though embarrass. All right. Steak fries, you’re up. Not my favorite, but I do like Red Robin. Oh, hell no. [Applause] What is that? Is it real potato? Yeah, it’s something in there that I don’t like. That’s a one. All right, guys. Next up, we have a brand that I’ve never tried before today. McCain Craft Beer Battered Fries. air fryer friendly. They say restaurantw worthy flavor at home. We’re about to find out. I will say that these don’t appear to be as crispy and from a color perspective, they’re a little uneven. Let me try them without the ketchup first. It’s good flavor. Like a tavern or pub style French fry. Get a little bit of the the beer flavor there. This would be great on like a loaded fry. Not quite as um crispy. Solid though. I’m going to go 34. 34. Next up, we have our first store brand French fry. Food Lion seasoned straight cut French fries. They all say made with real potatoes. I’m not sure how many of them are being made with fake ones, but pretty thick. Seasoned they say. I don’t know what it’s seasoned with. About to find out. It’s good. Much more potatoey. Obviously, sho string is going to be a little thinner, more crunch. This one is for the potato. More potato forward French fry enthusiasts. Solid flavor though. Kind of tastes like a Checkers or a Rallies. We’re going to get to that later. I’m going to go 32. Seasoned well. A little more potatoey than I particularly like. All right, guys. One thing that I’m noticing with all of these brands is they are pumping the air fryer heavy. Try in your air fryer. Works in the air fryer. Blah blah blah. The air fryer is here to stay. All right. Next up, we have Alexia non-GMO rosemary fries with real rosemary and a touch of sea salt. Let’s see what we got. I feel like I’ve had these this brand in a sweet potato version, but uh let’s see. I love a good rosemary, so might be good. Very heavy on the rosemary. Pretty good, though. If you don’t like rosemary, you’ll hate these. This is like a rosemary bomb. Uh I’m going to give these a a three even. Next up, we have Rallies. Some would say best fries on the market. Checkers or Rallies? Let me know what it is in your neck of the woods. Crispy French fried seasoned potatoes. Let’s see. They look good. Got a threer right here. Great texture. Good crisp. Good balance of crispy with the potato. I’m not loving the seasoning though. My cameraman Moody likes these fries and I These ain’t it. I’m about to piss some people off. Two five. Next up, we’re keeping it in the fast food genre. We got Sonic French fries. Sonic is not who I think about when I think about French fries. Um, but they do have loaded chili cheese fries. A little chewier than they probably should be. Pretty solid though. 3-1. Might be a little high. All right, people. Back again with McCain and our first waffle fry entry. Air fryer friendly, made with real potatoes. You know how they get down. Nice and golden brown. Beautiful fry, I should say. I’m not liking that. Very chewy. Let’s give him some ketchup. This isn’t looking good. 15. All right, folks. Arby’s is on the clock with the curly fry. I think curly fries are underrated. You let me know what you think in the comments. Look at that. Looks like a slinky almost. Let me know where you guys rank Arby’s fries. Damn, girl. That’s good. Air fryer instructions. That might be the best. Seasoned perfectly, crispy. 47. Underrated. All right, people. Next up, we have Orida. Zesty twirl. That’s what you used to call my cameraman back in high school. Zesty twirl. Up first. No ketchup. Good flavor. Little chewy. Great flavor actually. Very heavy on the onion flavor, which I’m a big fan of. Texturally, that’s where they’re losing points. Solid crunch, good flavor. Overall, great choice. I’m going to go 39. They’re better at Red Robin. There’s some kind of coating on these. Um, super crispy steak cut fries. They’re probably coated in like potato starch or cornstarch. Let’s see. Hopefully these are better than the last steak cut fry we had. Ah, I got to go. I keep want to go ketchup first. That’s more like it. Still not great, but better. 33. All right, people. Next up, we are into crinkle cut fries, which I’m not the biggest fan of either, unless they’re doused in cheese. Uh, McCain Quick Cook crinkle fries. Air fryer friendly. 6 minutes, they say. Let’s give it a taste. Very crispy. Maybe the crispiest fry I’ve ever had. That’s good. Okay, McCain. That might be one of the better crinkle cut fries I’ve I’ve had. 47 and they cook best. Next up, we have Arby’s Crinkle Cut. The most fair skinned French fries we’ve had this uh afternoon. Very hot. burn the damn side of my tongue. These are good though. Better than they look. These are like football game fries right here. If they got clean grease. All right, people. Nathan’s jumbo crinkle cut French fries. The original Nathan’s that is. I don’t know about this one, guys. Let’s see. Not crunchy at all. Not good. Oh, that’s bad. Ketchup. Can’t say that. That’s a one. I’m sorry. We got to end on a bad note, but stick to Gizzy’s, Nathan. All right, people. There you have it. I’m out here answering the hard questions so you don’t have to worry about it. Number one, Arby’s. These were good. Curly fries seasoned to perfection. Fresh out of the air fryer. That’s how I would recommend doing them. And then next up, Lamb Weston super crispy sho string fries. Very popular. I see these at pretty much every grocery store. These might be a little harder to find. Can’t go wrong with either one. Number one. Number two. Let me know what you think in the comments. What we should review next. Make sure to like, comment, and subscribe. and I’ll see you next time.

  1. Checker’s frozen french fries are my favorite but Matt stop being so biased not all french fries have to be crispy. I like my fries to be in between so I can chew on my fries.

  2. So you like the ones that are crispy but have no potato inside. But you hate the only one that has actual potato inside it. Nathan's fries are the best and it's not even close. You have the taste buds of a 7 year old.

  3. Rallys have the best fries. Your list is completely invalidated with that terrible ranking

  4. Man gave those other crinkle cuts a 4.7 as well as the Arby’s and still gave the 4.6 fries #2. Something ain’t adding up.

  5. 2.5 on Rally's😳😳😳😳….oh wow I didn't see that one coming,…😂… those are my favorite fries from the freezer section lol

  6. Nathans or Checkers. Is a TIE!!!! I honestly can't pick. It depends on the mood. Both elite

  7. You're obviously trying to be a contrarian , talking about Checkers is 2.5?? lol yea right!

  8. It's disgusting to hear you eat with your mouth open, even more so when you're mic'd up. Be better.
