Hard to imagine a place with more excellent fried clams than Massachusetts. Sorry, Maine, you’re number 2 on this one. We already give you Lobster. Let Mass be America’s Clam Shack.

I personally Arnold’s, Farnham’s a bit better…but, pretty good cape option here. The sign is pretty humorous though.
Woodman’s and Clam Box get more press, but I like the cape spots. Maybe it’s the setting.

Whole belly fried clams are the way. I think Mass has the best fried clams but I am totally biased by the fact that my dad would drive the family from CT to Revere Beach every summer so he could get Massachusetts clams. Some prolly long gone clam shack on Revere Beach in the 1960’s is where I chewed by 1st whole belly

Whole belly or nothing

I haven’t had whole belly clams in years. One of my regrets about leaving Maine-for warmer weather is the seafood.
