One of the major ways to build taste and flavor when you’re cooking is to cook with flavorful ingredients. And this oil is one of such ingredients. And the good part is that you can use this oil to make your pasta, your rice, any kind of stew, absolutely any meal at all that you want to add it to. It is a heat. And that is what I’m going to be showing you how to make today. We’re going to be making her oil from scratch. So, let’s get right into it. So, these are all the ingredients I am going to be using for this amazing flavorful oil. First of all, I have some fresh parsley. Please make sure that all the ingredients you’re using are fresh. I also have fresh curry leaves. The vegetable we call curry leaf in Nigeria. The name is actually um lemon basil, but we call it curry leaf in Nigeria. I also have lots of garlic and ginger. And in addition to those, I have some scent leaves and some oil. Please, preferably use olive oil. Okay. And in the absence of olive oil, you can use vegetable oil. The next thing to do will be to chop the vegetables because chopping them will allow them release their natural oils and natural flavor as well. So, do go through my channel, like this video, share this video, and all the good stuff. And if you have any questions or contribution, please drop them for me in the comment section. So after cutting all the herbs, I’m going to heat the vegetable oil. And please, when doing this, do not overheat the oil at all. And now I’m adding the garlic and ginger. And I’m going to allow this to fry in the oil for about a minute or two before gradually adding the herbs one after the other. Garlic and ginger are super flavorful and you can add them to a wide variety of dishes. So, I chose to add them to this oil because I’m going to be using the oil in different meals. And now I’m adding the herbs one after the other. And I’m going to just allow this fry in the hot oil. At this point, you want to stir this all together. You want to stir it continuously. And one thing about this oil is that it is super flavorful. At this point, the whole house, the whole compound, the flavor was just everywhere. This oil is amazing. So imagine cooking with this when maybe when you’re cooking your stew or your rice, imagine using this oil. Oh, it is so nice. You’re going to love it when you recreate yours. So continue stirring this. And after some time, you’re just going to allow this on low heat. Emphasis on low heat, okay? Because you do not want the herbs to burn. You don’t want the garlic and ginger and everything to burn. You just want them to slowly fry. And frying should take about 20 to 30 minutes. And after that, you’re going to turn off the heat source and cover the pot and allow to infuse for about 24 hours to 3 days or even more. And the longer it stays, the more flavorful and amazing this oil will be. At this point, I was so eager to use this herb oil because it smells so so good. So, what I did next after some days was to pass this through a sieve. And at this point, that’s pretty much it for this herb oil. But if you want some more flavor and some more drama, what you can do is to cut some more herbs and add to the oil. It’s totally optional, but recommended because it means that as the oil stays, more flavor will be infused into the oil. So, this is what I’m trying to say. Just sprinkle some more herbs in there. Stir all together and the oil is ready. This thing is so good, so flavorful. And when you add it to your meals, everybody will know that something is happening. Don’t be surprised when people gather around and ask you, “What are you cooking? What are you using to cook?” E tell us. So you can use this in different kinds of meals. You can use it for your rice, different kinds of rice dishes. Henceforth, anytime I want to make rice or stew, this is oil I’m going to use because it is super flavorful. It is so good. And this oil can last as long as your regular oil can last. So this is something you should make and use. And thank you so much for coming this far. Thank you for watching my video.
