First cork popped from my first Schrader allocation. This was decanted, but actually didn't need to be. This already bursts out of the gate with ripe plum, blackberry, cassis, cocoa, and maybe the inchoate suggestions of baking spice and tobacco. It's slightly hot, but that's almost not worth mentioning. It's the kind of wine you just can't put down.
If money were no object, I wouldn't hesitate to reach for this when the occasion called for Napa Cab. This stuff is hard not to like; but alas, its price tag made me think thrice before opening, and although delicious, it just doesn't reach the heights of other cabs I've had in this price range, at least not yet. But, I look forward to seeing how my other two bottles will age. Cheers!

Hell yeah and especially hell yeah for being willing to pop a napa cult cab immediately on release. So many folks are scared of that for no reason at all, even when they have multiple bottles. How better to ascertain how it’ll age? Cheers and thx for the nice noses
I haven’t had their ’22s but it was a very rough vintage overall, so if you liked this, definitely get the ’23s!
