I have massive respect for chives! When my husband had yo follow a no-fodmap diet (which meant no onions or garlic), chives became a cornerstone of my cooking as they are softer on the stomach.

My grandma had a little chives plant and i would always get a butterbrot (sourdough bread with butter salt and chives) so that instantly makes it an s tier

When I was a kid there was this big patch of chives growing wild behind my friend’s house. All the neighborhood kids would play in there and eat chives. Then one day we went back there and another kid’s grandma had hung herself from a tree in the patch. So chives remind me of this. I’m a chef so it kind of comes up a lot.

Try garlic chives too since they’re pretty different than the normal chives. I can never eat normal chives again since eating garlic ones!
