Not really stupid. Basic shaved ice with syrup done with what they got, so yeah, cheap. The bare hands pressing may not be ideal hygiene but depends on how well and regularly he washes his hands. Not really up to the horror show many street vendors we see on here are and tbh, more a product of wealth possibilities.
As for the guy showering in the back and everyone asking if he can’t do that somewhere else… uh, probably not, no. That’s where he got some clean water, probably where he lives and while I don’t find it very appealing for my own food, he’s far enough away from the food so it isn’t problematic as such. Again, no ideal, but working with what they got.
