For the first time, Amazon’s cashier-less “Just Walk Out” technology is making its way to France: the technology is premiering at Flunch’s new lunch concept Faim in the heart of Lille.
Salads without checkout
Buying fresh lunch without having to pass by the cash register: it is now possible at Faim, Flunch’s new urban concept in Lille. “We contacted Amazon two years ago in the United States to develop this new concept,” Baptiste Bayart of Flunch told LSA. “We wanted to be closer to the customer, in the city center, with a quality and affordable offer. And at the same time, we wanted to make their journey as smooth as possible, including by eliminating the queue at the checkout.”
