My daughter’s mother is Vietnamese, and her family made this for holidays sometimes. They use sugar cookie dough for the crust, though, and cream cheese mixed with pineapple juice and sugar for the “sauce”. It is quite good, but I definitely wouldn’t make it with pizza dough.

I would be perfectly okay with this if the cheese was something nutty to compliment the fruit and there was maybe a fig jam or sesame paste or something that isn’t tomato sauce underneath. If this is on a standard mozzarella plus tomato sauce base then it’s an abomination.
