FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) – The bill has been paid at the Wasabi Sushi and Asian Grill in Downtown Fargo.
Wasabi’s owner Maya Perleberg contacted Valley News Live to tell us that two different people came to the restaurant to cover an unpaid bill from a reported dine-and-dash.
The woman who allegedly left the restaurant without paying was confronted by the owner and police in Broadway Square on September 17, all caught on camera by Valley News Live. She told the owner that she would have to wait until Friday to pay the bill.
A man went to the restaurant shortly after it opened on September 18 and covered the $130 bill. Another woman came to the restaurant later with the same intention, but instead left a $130 tip.
Police at the scene in Broadway Square indicated that the alleged dine-and-dasher would have to go to court for this if the bill wasn’t settled. It’s unclear if any charges will come now that the bill is paid.
