Currently in Slovenia on a little solo trip. Was unsure if I was going to book a table for 1 for their dinner service, but wanted to see their restaurant and the incredible views I’ve seen online, so I booked their breakfast.
Well…it was so good that after breakfast I asked if they could squeeze in a reservation for 1 that night and they did.
Absolutely stunning dinner and service. I was there just under 4 hours but time seemed to completely disappear. I could have stayed there hours longer. I’d say each dish was a home run, with the exception of the wild boar which was tough 🙁 Shame as I was really looking forward to the red meat dish but even so, everything else was so well executed, and with so many delightful surprises, that one dish didn’t make a dent in my overall experience.
They offer a wine pairing, a non-alcoholic pairing, and a “Out Story” pairing which included a juice, two wines, a beer, 2 cocktails, and a coffee. I got the “Our Story” and what a treat.
If anyone is in Slovenia, don’t hesitate to go. It was my first time solo-dining at a Michelin star restaurant and I felt welcomed, comfortable, at ease, and totally welcomed. I’ll remember this dinner for some time to come. Very special.
