My favorite spot reduced the size of their poke bowls. Do we think this is worth $13?

If you have meat and avocado in that bowl then yes. Shot is expensive now. Everywhere is changing. It sucks but it happens.

It’s worth whatever you’re willing to spend

I personally wouldn’t because that looks incredibly easy to make for what looks like $6 of fish. The markup itself isn’t bad compared to a lot of eating out foods I’ve seen though

Honestly that’ll fill you up for a few hours, so $13 for a full meal isn’t bad

For 2 scoop small bowl that’s pretty average now. I paid $38 for 2 four scoop bowls last time I got poke

Can you post next to another object to give context please?

  7. Maybe if u live in an expensive city i could see that being worth $13

Mmmmmmm I don’t think so but if it was delicious that’s all that matters!!

Do you like it? Was it enough? Do you have $13 to spend on this? These are all questions you should ask yourself. Something’s worth is subjective.

Respectfully but doesn’t it cost about $5 for a big bag of Doritos over there now? I’m in the uk so basing this off instagram so I might be way off but seems about right. In the uk I reckon that would be £8 or £9 so pretty similar

This is probably still on the cheaper side for a dense metro area. I had an $18 poke bowl in Downtown LA a while back that left me hungry. I went back to the suburbs and $18 filled me up and it came with a drink.

Those poke bowls are overpriced no matter where you go. Go to a legitimate poke spot serving authentic Hawaiian poke, pay $20 for probably 3x the fish, fish that’s way fresher, and properly cooked and seasoned rice

“Did you just order a five dollar shake?”

I bought my kid a shake last week – no bourbon or nuthin. I long for a five dollar shake being expensive.

  14. Everything is 20+ now for food. So pretty much as long as it’s not 30 bucks in the rural Midwest it’s probably in line with most restaurants they compete with

  15. There are typically a ton of ingredients, toppings, and sauces that you can add at no additional cost. This bowl looks quite plain. I suspect it would look more “worth it” if it had the additional colors and textures, but there’s nothing wrong with ordering it the way you like it. All those “free” add-ons are included in the price.

Is it worth $13? No. Is it reasonable to expect to be charged $13 for it at an establishment? That’s actually a good deal depending where you are.
