One of my little sisters close friends/teammates finally went into remission we found out yesterday, and since I am the resident baker I happily made her a cake. Shes been trying to balance chemo, her extracurriculars and her senior year of highschool, so it felt like the only right option to surprise her with a special cake, since she loves vintage decorated cakes, light pink, bows & sparkles.
It is carrot cake with brown butter cream cheese filling and almond buttercream.

this cake is absolutely gorgeous, and i’m so so glad she beat cancer. my mother had breast cancer at that age and i really can’t imagine. this girl absolutely deserves a beautiful, delicious cake for going through that ordeal.
