I had posted about a month ago asking for pruning advice. I pruned up a lot of the lower branchings since then my 3 ghost pepper plants in this little planter have gotten enormous. They had only put out a handful of pepper so far, but now they are finally starting to produce a huge flush of new peppers. I’m so excited!

Winner winner… Those are amazing. How long is your season? Hope you still have time for them to ripen..

What are you using for soil and fertilizer? These are gorgeous plants.

  4. Woah! How old is that? Naturally overwintered I imagine, where do you live?

in my experience peppers do exceptionally well when planted in a small area of highly drained medium where they can take off, then enter denser clay below where they can pull more water and nutrients. I plant in ground, but in a 2-3” layer of compost on top of clay and it’s worked so well for me.

😲I’ve never seen a pepper bush as beautiful as that one🤗

Wow this is crazy big! And peppers have a way of starting out a little slow and then exploding! (My experience) Can you get to the ones by the fence??? 🫑🌶️👏

  10. What do you plan to do with them? I grew ghost peppers for the first time and I have no idea what to do with them all. Seems like such a waste when they go bad!

Love it! Here in 8a, my brother pepper grew huge this summer, he used the poop from his chickens. I’ve never seen pepper trees so huge. haha
