Found a dark blob in my Chorizo this morning, what bit of the animal have I got here? Some kind of blood vessel? Before y'all start, I'm not freaking out, it's a cheap product made from left over bits of the animal right?

Do you really want to know? Because it looks like a rat tail maggot, but it could be anything.

that looks like a rat tailed maggot aka a drone fly which is a “bee wannabe” when they’re adult and they are essential when they’re big.

Just eat your salivary gland and lymph node paste.

It’s a quick trip the garbage can to toss that mystery abomination out. That’s absolutely gross and it tells me the Quality Control department of your chorizo supplier is dropping the ball. 🤮

  5. Brother, if you keep investigating what went into your chorizo, you might as well stop eating them now.

It could be some kind of larvae or bug….

But it could also just be a chunk of offal from the production plant.

These tubes pre covid were under a dollar and are like $3 now?

Have you ever read the ingredients? Its not meat.

Its thyroid, lymph nodes, and salivary glands.

They literally rip the throats out of the pig or cow and grind it.

Id say a chunk made it through.

Blood clot after a long weekend snorting blow.

Its probably a piece of fat that got stuck in the die during grinding and it picked up residual metal residue .

    Idk edit: Dat Fat

That is the worst brand of chorizo on the planet. Absolutely vile. First ingredients are lymph nodes and salivary glands. It cooks down to grease and about 1tbs of “meat.” OH god I can taste it now.

Pretty sure that’s what a face hugger puts in your stomach

Do not buy that garbage. I seen videos of nice people making legit chorizo in spain. They used meat not lymph nodes and salivary glands. It’s so disgusting and greasy.

Looks like a rat tailed maggot, which despite the name is a bit less gross than a regular maggot since its a hoverfly larvae which is a pollenator rather than a cacophage.

Rat tailed maggot, can tell by the tail which they use as a snorkel so they can survive in disgusting ass water that has no oxygen.

That is the absolute worst chorizo. Im sure you’ve figured that out by now.

Asking what’s IN your Cacique, is always risky

Sorry, I work at the meat packing factory and I just couldn’t hold it in any longer. They never give us bathroom breaks and the Forman just stands there holding his flail…

  18. I found a rock in my bean n cheese burrito. It was the size of a cherry. Never eating at Betos again

Just be happy that it’s not on YOUR chorizo!
