► 7 jalapeño peppers
► 1 carrot
► Salt to taste
► 1/2 tsp sugar
► 3 whole cloves
► Some black pepper
► 2 bay leaves
► Some oregano
► Small pinch of thyme
► 1 1/2 cup water
► 1 cup white vinegar

Ever since I started making my own pickled jalapenos, it’s so hard for me to go back to storebought. They’re so easy to make. Let me show you guys how. We’re going to start off by cutting the onion into smaller pieces. I’m using one small white onion, four garlic cloves, and I’m going to slice them. I’m using seven jalapenos. I’m only going to be slicing four of the jalapenos. The other three, we’re going to use them whole. And last, I’m going to slice one carrot. I set my pot to low medium heat with some oil. Once the oil is hot, I’m going to saute the garlic and the onion. We sauté for about a minute or so. Next, we add the carrots and sauté for another minute. Now, we add in the jalapenos and we cook until they change color. After about 3 minutes, we add salt to taste, half a teaspoon of sugar, three whole cloves, and some black pepper along with two bay leaves and some oregano. And last, a small pinch of thyme. We mix it. And now we add 1 and 1/2 cups of water and one cup of white vinegar. Give it a stir. And we let it cook for about 5 minutes. It’s been 5 minutes. I’m going to turn off the heat and we’re going to let them cool down before adding them into a container. The jalapenos have cooled down and now we’re going to transfer them into a container. And these are good in the fridge for about 4 weeks. And now for the moment of truth. Cheers. And there you have it. Delicious pickled jalapenños.
