NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Food & Wine magazine recently released a list naming the top “must visit” sandwich shops across America, which included a shop tucked in an East Nashville neighborhood.

Thirteen sandwich shops in the nation were named on the list, but there was only Nashville spot featured: Bill’s Sandwich Palace.

The food magazine dubbed the East Nashville eatery as “a palace of inventive, over-the-top sandwiches.”

According the shop’s website, the menu rotates every two weeks and an updated menu will be posted on their social media pages every week.

Here’s what Food & Wine had to say about the shop located in the 300 block of North 16th Street:

In the land of honky tonks, hot chicken, and bachelorette parties is a shop – better yet, a palace – of inventive, over-the-top sandwiches. Once a sought-after pop up, Bill’s Sandwich Palace now has a permanent home in East Nashville to dole out sloppy tuna melts and fried chicken sandwiches on housemade focaccia and local Charpier’s Bakery buns. A signature Bill move is incorporating chips for texture, like Sour Cream & Cheddar Ruffles, Cool Ranch Doritos, sea salt potato chips, and even full-on french fries. The team also calls everyone who is a part of their sandwich tribe, Bill. So, it’s just a bunch of Bills at Bill’s.
