Four women and one man are in the final of the election for the 77th German Wine Majesty. In the preliminary decision, Lucia Winterhalter (Baden), Katja Simon (Hessische Bergstraße), Anna Zenz (Mosel), Levin McKenzie (Rheinhessen), and Emma Meinhardt (Saale-Unstrut) impressed with their solid expertise and confident demeanor.
The jury assessed the candidates in challenging expert discussions on topics such as winemaking, marketing, wine culture, and current industry debates – also in English. Additionally, they had to demonstrate their teamwork skills and quick reactions in practical tasks.
With Levin McKenzie’s participation, the chances of a German Wine King or Wine Prince being elected into the trio of German Wine Majesties for the first time are increasing.
The final will take place on September 26 at the Saalbau in Neustadt an der Weinstraße and will be broadcast live on SWR television. Viewers can also participate in the election via online voting.
