1 Salatgurke
1 Avocado
150 g Feta
1/2 Bund frische Petersilie
2-3 EL Olivenöl
1 EL Essig bzw. Zitronensaft
Salzen und Pfeffern
1 EL Senf, süß bzw. mittelscharf

SO GEHT’S:

My grandma always said, “Child, a good cucumber salad is like a good friend, simply honest and makes you happy.” 1 large cucumber. Today I’m showing you my modern version of Grandma’s classic. Peeled cucumbers are easier to digest for sensitive stomachs. I’ll show you the salad that will slim you down, make your skin glow, and taste incredibly delicious. Let’s start with our cucumber. I peel it for good reasons. Peeled cucumbers are much easier to digest, especially if you have a sensitive stomach. It also tastes more delicate without the skin, and this way you avoid any bitter taste that might be present in the skin. The beauty of peeling is something else entirely. The cucumber becomes a true flavor taxi for our dressing. Without the tough skin, all the wonderful flavors—the olive oil, the mustard, the acid—can penetrate deeply. It’s like a good conversation. When all barriers are removed, true harmony emerges. But wait before you throw away the skin. My grandma always said that what’s good for the stomach is also good for the skin. Cucumber skin and cucumbers are full of nutrients. Even Cleopatra knew this and pampered herself with cucumbers. Simply rub gently over your skin. It refreshes and moisturizes, like a little spa ritual at home. Cucumbers are 99% water. It’s practically like a drinking glass for chewing. They have an alkalizing effect on our body and even help reduce swelling. Perfect after a long day. 1 avocado Now comes my twist. Cut the avocado lengthwise around the pit. Twist both halves against each other and pull apart. It’s best to lightly prick the pit with a knife and twist it out, or simply scoop it out with a spoon. Now comes the trick: Use a tablespoon to scrape the flesh out of the skin in one motion. It’s quick and easy, and you won’t have dirty fingers. For the salad, I cut it into bite-sized cubes. Not too small, or it will fall apart when mixed. Who would have thought it was a berry? If you also love such family recipes with a twist, please subscribe. Here you will regularly find nostalgic cuisine with new interpretations. The healthy fats are perfect for the heart and ensure that you feel really full. The feta cheese! Oh, it takes me back to Greece every time. 150g feta cheese This salty, creamy taste is like a little hug for the soul. The feta provides us with plenty of protein and calcium. Great for our bones and muscles. And best of all, it makes the salad flavorful without making it heavy in the stomach. Perfect for anyone who wants to feel light and energized. [Music] 1/2 bunch of parsley The underrated superstar. In naturopathy, parsley is considered a real friend to the kidneys. [Music] For the dressing we take 2-3 tablespoons of olive oil, liquid gold for our heart. With a dash of vinegar or lemon juice, some salt, pepper and a tablespoon of sweet mustard, e.g. Dijon mustard. It will be creamy and delicious. Season carefully with salt (because feta cheese is already salty) and a generous amount of pepper, along with a spoonful of sweet mustard. The mustard is my insider tip, by the way. It binds the ingredients together and adds a tangy, slightly sweet note. My grandma always knew that cucumbers are the perfect weight-loss product and so good for your stomach, too. Cucumbers are 95% water, completely alkaline, and easy on the digestive system. The best part: they contain silicon. It’s like an internal beauty booster for skin, hair, and nails. A salad that slims you down, makes your skin glow, and tastes incredibly delicious. This is my absolute favorite cucumber salad. If you love family recipes with a twist, please subscribe.
