

Every time I get corn for a box it has these black spots just at the top of a few pieces. I'm wondering if it's safe to eat and just a cosmetic thing or if I shouldn't touch it and I should be calling them and seeing if they can do anything on their end to compensate.

That looks like the “black layer,” which is a sign that the kernel is fully matured (sort of like how black spots on a banana mean it’s ripe).
Pretty sure that’s normal.
