Dubai is set to welcome Mama Bella Restaurant at the end of September 2025, offering diners an authentic taste of Italy where traditional recipes, the Italian spirit, and real grandmothers from across Italy come together under one roof. The restaurant promises a unique culinary experience that brings the stories, flavors, and heritage of Italy’s grandmothers to life.
Located in the heart of the city at Kempinski Hotel The Boulevard, Mama Bella is designed to evoke a rural southern Italian village amidst Dubai’s modern skyline, celebrating the warmth and simplicity of Italian home cooking.
Central to the restaurant’s concept is “Mama’s Cucina”, where a different grandmother from Italy is invited each month to prepare dishes she has perfected over a lifetime. Guests can look forward to traditional favorites, from handmade pasta to regional specialties like lasagna, coulorgione, ciabatta, and roast lamb.
In a world focused on innovation, Mama Bella takes a nostalgic path—highlighting memory, family, and food made with heart and hands. Chef Alessandro Micheli, the visionary behind the concept, says:
“Mama Bella is about giving voice—and cuisine—back to the original custodians of flavor. These women are living cookbooks, and we’re providing them a platform to share their stories through food.”
The restaurant is brought to Dubai by Gastronaut Hospitality, the team behind Boho Axe Restaurants, and celebrates the richness of authentic Italian ingredients—from wild herbs, artisanal cheeses, fresh seafood, and fine meats, to the distinctive taste of cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil.
The menu reflects Italy’s regional depth, seasonal diversity, and emotional connection, delivering an authentic Italian dining experience in every detail. At the heart of the restaurant is Studio Mama, a 12-seat communal table where guests can watch, taste, and learn, creating a living archive of Italian culinary heritage.
Mama Bella is scheduled to open its doors in late September 2025, with the first visiting grandmother and full menu details to be revealed soon.
