So, we called into Mike’s in down great home street. Um, oopsie. It’s obviously Scotty. It’s Jennifer Avenue, actually. Okay. Yeah. So, we called in today on the way home. It’s some fish and chips. Try there cuz we haven’t tried that before. It used to be good. Good catch, but it’s changed to Mike. Changed to Mike’s now. Yeah. And different people in there. So, hopefully it’s okay. Yeah. I’ll show you. So, let’s have a little look. Got it on the kebab as well. So it seems to be a bit like um green Turkish that kind of owners. So let’s have a little look. That’s going to be the Zala kebab. Sure is. Zar kebab face. Yes. Do you know who likes don kebab? Who? Does she? She’s a strange girl. She says she doesn’t strange about that. No, she says she does. I know. I’m messing. You know me. I know. Says she doesn’t eat meat. Before anyone kinks, we are. Yeah, of course we are. Oh, the ends just Oh, no. I like the heads as well. Go on, eat it. I like you. There you go. Yeah. The chips look okay, don’t they? Yeah. I mean, look really nice. Um, as it was getting dished out. Obviously, we’ve brought it home. So, yeah, it’s been sweating in the car. taste of this. I’m going to have a chip. Nice crunch on you here. M. Ooh. They’re the kind of chips that you’d like on a buddy. M. We’re going to taste this out. Let me see you. Yes. Come on, guys. Is your big hand then? That’s the problem we have, isn’t it? Oh, before you sit down, get a knife to cut this in case we need a knife to cut through just in case. I feel like I’m asleep. Feel like I’m off asleep. Go on, you go first. Okay. Looks all right. This fishing ship. This This came to about 98 pound 59 pound. That’s not bad, is it? That was six pound. Uh I thought you meant the whole thing. No, the whole thing was like £15. Suppose that’s not bad really. Yeah. Um try Yeah. Have you tried the chips? No, but I want to have a little closeup. Let’s have a little closeup first, guys. Now the chips look better in real life than they do to the the lens. Actually, they do. Yeah, but the fish isn’t looking too bad. Do you think? Oh, look. I mean, look. Yeah. From what I can see, not soggy. Let’s see. Is it Is it lightly battered? Batter’s not bad. Look. Got a little bit there. Yeah. But yeah, it’s not too bad, you know. It’s not I mean we’ve had a lot we have had a lot of wet there’s a little bit of wetness there too there but in general look as you can see it isn’t too bad we’ll have a we’ll have a taste and tell you probably have a look at this tonica bat. So there was a couple of bits of cucumber that I’ve picked out. So if there’s any more Colin you’ll have to just suffer them. Oh thanks very much. suffer them. And did you put sweet chili sauce on this? I did. Yes. Good. Cuz I thought you’d prefer that. Yeah. To what? Well, what was the other option? Chili. Which other one? Said something else. The staff look quite miserable in there, but they were okay. He said thanks that and the other. But I don’t like I don’t want to be here kind of thing. that kind of look, you know, we don’t really have chips. I think I’ve had a chip and the chips are very nice. They are nice. Well, besides, they’re the kind of chips you’d want on a booty. Chipy from the chippy. I like that. Try some of this fish. I’m better off with me, too. That’s nice though. Is it? That’s really lovely. It’s okay. That’s actually nice. It look It tastes better than it looks. I was a little bit I think obviously cuz Yeah, it’s got slightly slightly floppy and all that cuz condensation sitting in there getting that. Yeah. Or if the seats in there. So would have been would have been better. But we couldn’t turn the engine of the car off. That’s tasty. That I’m enjoying that. Really? Yeah. I do like them chips though. That’d be nice on a booty. It would. I told you. I think I might have to have a We’ve only got molted bread. That’s fine. I think that I don’t think that’ll work with a chipy. Oh, Tracy, you have that bean. Oh, it’s going to go again. Tracy, you lean over it instead of swapping it over. Well, wait. I got no fish in that bit. There you go. Are you going to try this now? That’s them chips are tasty. And the fish is tasty actually as well. It is. That’s what I said. It probably looks It looks a mess and especially now that Colin has dissected it. Yeah, cuz I always make a mess of it like just to show. But yeah, but it does nice flaky. It It’s nice. Yeah, it is nice. I mean, how am I going to pick this up? I might not pick it up. In fact, I’m not going to cuz it’s just a So many chippies you go to. Are you going to pick this up before I start cutting? Are you going to pick just what you’re going to do? Okay. I’ll never fit it in with this tube anyway. I know. So, I’m going to have to taste it. Mhm. Like a smaller bit. Like a cup bit. Yeah. Okay. But yeah, so I’m really happy about this. So many chippies. What? Yeah, cuz been really put off. I know. Fish and chips. You don’t get so many bad ones in. [Music] Okay. What about went to Blackpool recently. Went to York Fisheries and said I watch enjoyed it and this was the best. We went to um what was it called? Good catch. It was something like that. I can Let me just check. This is nice by the way. Is it want me to cut you some? Yes, please. Would you like a bit of everything apart from cucumber? Yeah. Onion, lettuce, tomato. Yeah. Go for it. Okay. Go for it. Okay. Are you ready? Yes. He went to a place called the catch. The catch. It was just called the catch, not the gum catch. And he says it was awful, didn’t he? Yeah. Said the worst worst chippy. This is in Blackville, guys. The waste should be in the UK country. Ready? Wow, that’s horrendous size mouth. That’s when I get my teeth done. Oh yeah, sure. Isn’t that nice? That’s really tasty. That That’s a nice kebab. I’d definitely get that again. What? Chicken chik kebab. Oh, juie. You see this afterwards? That would be nice though. Okay. You can see the meat there. Yeah. Nice. Oh yeah. Chops. Do you know and the B is it is actually me thought I’m pleased about that when I first seen it I was like oh I don’t know whe that’s going to be any good we’ve been put off going there because of the other it used to be called the good catch now the good catch we went to in a couple of places didn’t we yeah and they were awful one especially in fresh fields or was it fresh fields was People saying, “Oh, best unit.” It was dreadful. We went there, wasn’t it? It was awful, wasn’t it? It was so There was a queue out the door there, wasn’t it? Wasn’t it so greasy and Yeah, there was a queue out the door. So, we don’t know what them other people were buying, but it definitely wasn’t what we bought, was it? The staff was like kids enjoying themselves. Yeah. insurance, but it there was no real like leadership or professionalism. It wasn’t Yeah. It wasn’t professional in the show. Yeah. Like playing around. Yeah. But it was awfully greasy. Either that or buy me a new one cuz it’s sitting there and I keep looking thinking I’ve got I can say with these other things and all that. You have and you just neglected me KitchenAid. There’s only a slight bit of wetness to the batter. Can I complain about that? So, I was going to say eight and a half. I would like to try it from fresh. If we could have sat in there, it would have been just But you you’re right. Eight and a half. Nine. It’s still a good score. The chips are delicious. The fish is really nice. Yeah. What are you going to do with this? I’m going to say with that. Oh, yeah. A nine. I’m I’m thinking even nine and a half. You know, I’m funny with certain meat. You’re eating it as what it is. You’re not making it as as um against something else. You’re rating it what you got. It’s full of meat. It’s packed. It’s lovely. Loads of salad. It’s tasty. There’s nothing wrong with something. That was £6. Oh, six. Yeah. For that. So, the whole thing was was just over 15. It’s worth it because it is nice. It is good stuff, isn’t it? Really enjoyable. That’s Mike’s. Yeah. on a um well it’s Jennifer Avenue but as some people will know it it’s some people will say Scotty some people say great it’s in the middle it’s in the middle I mean if you go shopping to sainsbury’s all fields lemonade used to be there for those who are old enough to remember yeah so yeah if you go shopping in sainsbury’s or what else is down there little um B&M own bargain Have a treat.
