KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – The Country Club Plaza has three new additions coming soon: Perch, J.H. & Sons and Vertice Italian.
According to a Plaza representative, Perch is a pop-up store featuring a mix of high-end and emerging designers for women. It opens in fall 2025.
J.H. & Sons, opening in spring 2026, is a high-end men’s clothing store.
“As we looked at opportunities to grow our retail footprint, Country Club Plaza was at the top of our list,” said owner Jeff Halberstadt.
Vertice Italian will open in 2026 at 616 Ward Parkway, in between The Granfalloon Restaurant and Bar and the yearly holiday pop-up bar, Miracle.
It is owned by Summit Hospitality Group, which owns local favorites including Summit Grill, Third Street Social and Neighborhood Cafe.

Chris Harren, senior vice president of development for the Plaza, said his team is “thrilled” by the additions.
“J.H. & Sons brings a highly curated menswear experience, while Perch introduces a fresh, fashion-forward perspective in women’s apparel,” Harren explained. “Vertice offers a modern take on Italian dining, features a cocktail lounge and a refined atmosphere.”
The announcement comes days after the Annual Plaza Art Fair wrapped its 94th year, and less than a month before the KC Streetcar expansion opens down the road, expanding public transportation access to the district.
