Seeds sowed March 23rd. Zone 6b. Plants have had peppers growing on them since June. There are peppers on the plant that have been full sized for nearly 2 months now, and not one is turning red, or any other color. It's getting colder and colder, first frost date is probably less than a few weeks away. Does this variety not turn red? Even my anaheims are ripening before these

Info: I have harvested some of them while green, great heat and flavor. The rest that are left were left intentionally hoping to let them turn red. Watered daily. Have not used fertilizer in a month.
Yes, they will ripen to red
Yes it will ripen red.
Fun fact- all peppers will ripen to red (Or a darker color) eventually.
It takes forever
I have heard to stop watering them a few weeks before harvesting
7a. Im growing a different variety but mine are the same. They finally started turning 2 days ago. Ive been praying that frost hold off until my peppers and my winter melon are mature.
There are certain jalapeño varieties that don’t always ripen red. Rare, but it happens. I don’t know about this particular one, but it is possible.
Mine always ripen red. Red=ready
I’m growing ghost peppers and they took forever to ripen. It just takes time and patience. They will ripen
I think you just need to be patient for them to turn red .
They mature completely to red about the same time as other jalapeno, but they do grow peppers quicker.
I have 3 of these I started 4 years ago, a La Bomba II and another Jalapeno I can’t remember off hand (a giant variety for stuffing), and experience with the Early Jalapeno has been consistently to produce early and often and to reach maturity alongside my other jalapenos, give or take a few days.
I have orange ones. Take forever to ripen I use them green
I have this exact pack. 2 plants started in February. They are turning red one by one i get maybe 2-3 per week the past few weeks
you need to make them angry
I think they will ripen red like all jalapenos. But shop around. I don’t like this variety. It’s not very early and not very productive. Try la bomba I find it better.
It really takes a long time but the taste profile makes it worth it. Hang in there if you and wait.
I planted those as well, they are best picked as soon as they start getting stretch marks. They are hottest hotter than regular jalapeños and have a nice flavor. They just don’t want to be red!
Ours were SLOWWWW this year. But they finally turned… and keep turning. Maybe the day will come for you
I waited a long time for my jalapeños as well but now one by one they turn red in the course of 3 days.
