Here’s what you need:

1 red onion, diced
500g lamb mince
Zest from 1 lemon
6 cloves garlic, grated
½ cup fresh mint, finely sliced
½ cup parsley (this wasn’t in the video I forgot whoops 🙈)
2 eggs
1 cup panko crumbs
1 tsp allspice, 1 tbsp oregano, 1 tsp chili powder
Oil for frying
Tzatziki & lemon wedges to serve

I’m in a grumpy mood, so make Greek meatballs with me whilst I try to snap out of it. We call these kees. Start with diced onion. I actually like that onion. Makes me cry. It feels cathartic. Then we’ve got fresh mint. Look, I’m still crying. Lemon zest, grated garlic, lamb mints, bread crumbs, your dried herbs and spices, and I like to add chili because I like everything spicy. Add eggs and let out that tension by kneading the meat and work them into balls. Now, meatballs are easy, but they’re also time consuming. Like, what do you mean I have to roll all 50 of these by myself? Get over it and fry them in batches until they’re golden and crispy. Serve them with sziki and some fresh lemon. And that’s it. Now, to put in my mouth the only thing that can lift me out of a bad mood. I mean, food. You space.
