Currently in New England and have not seen anything like that. Plenty of meh pizza around here, but it looks like normal pizza. That looks like a food truck just said f*ck it, we are the only place they can go without getting in their car.

I *just* heard about beach pizza on an episode of lions led by donkeys (podcast). It looks as stupid as it sounded.
I am led to believe that only two shops make it, they’re basically next to one another, and there is a rivalry among people who think one is better than the other. Any confirmation on this bit?

Beach pizza is a lot like Taco Bell in the sense of people will say “why don’t you just get good pizza/mexican food” when you don’t get Taco Bell when you want Mexican food, and you don’t get beach pizza when you want what is widely agreed upon as pizza, they’re their own thing. Beach pizza is a treat not something you order for dinner
