How do you get the syrup look? Anyone have any Tried-and-true advice?

I am not a professional and this isn’t tried and true, but my guess is carmelized sugar that’s drizzled on after the icing has dried

This looks like isomalt to me. Simi Cakes has a honey color that would be perfect. Just seal it with edible glaze spray like PME after it cools to keep it from getting sticky

New to cookie decorating here…. Never had a cookie like this before so im curious if it’s Isomalt, that means it dries hard right? Like jolly rancher hard? Has anyone had a cookie like this or received any feedback from the person eating it about that hard texture when eating a cookie with isomalt on it?
