I've been seeing Chirashi Don in this sub when I joined a couple months ago, and I've always been curious. I've never really ordered any Don before. I was really pleased with this one. I've seen much fancier ones for sure, but for way out in Creston, BC it was great. Looking forward to trying it out in other places in my travels. Thanks all for opening my eyes to a new way to sushi. Cheers friends 🍶

Yeah those are some good cuts at a decent price. I’m glad you enjoyed it, and you take good food pictures!
It’s a sad chiraishi. But for $17usd it’s not bad.
I guess that’s less than 20 usd? It looks good for the money. Now try at a nicer place. It will be so much better.
That’s usually my go to order.
furikake on chirashi?
They have a concept of chirashi. This is some fish leaning on some rice and excuse my eye balls, are those furikake? I’d get up and leave.
Not a crazy deal. I feel it’s pretty fair for the price
I prefer kaisendon usually but they’re usually harder to find in NA
That looks magnificent.
Does anyone know if Chirashi bowl comes with seasoned rice?
Decent price. I’d eat it!
My go to, tbh. Looks amazing.
I think that price is solid these days, and I don’t mind the furikake unlike some other folks here. And it is a thing in Japan – npt always, but whatever purity test those folks think the chirashi fails, it can be found in numerous places in Japan.
Id buy that
It looks amazing. The place I go to would be around $32 for the same dish. It’s so worth it though. They use incredibly fresh fish that have flavors that coat the whole palate with every bite.
This is more like just a kaisen don and not a traditional chirashidon. Chirashi means to scatter and nothings scattered.. and rice is separate? 😱
What does this cost in real money?
