Hey y’all. I am back with another flavors recipe. Y’all been going crazy over Popeye’s new blueberry lemonade. I have yet to try it, but I really wanted to make it at home and it came out so good. So, let’s get into it. I start off by making a blueberry syrup, which consists of equal parts of blueberries, water, and sugar. Gave that a nice stir and then I let this simmer on medium heat for about 8 to 10 minutes. Once done, I strained it and I made sure to get most of the juices out the blueberries. After that, I let the syrup cool in the refrigerator for about an hour. In the meantime, I had squeezed about 7 to 10 lemons to make two cups of lemon juice. This part is tedious. I don’t know why I did not use my juicer, but if y’all have one, just use that. Now, it’s time to assemble. I poured in the lemon juice. Make sure to strain as you’re pouring it in. Next, I add in my blueberry syrup. Honestly, it does not matter the order that you pour it in. Lastly, I added in my water. Give that a mix. And at this point, you’re going to taste and see if it needs anything to your liking. If it’s too sweet, just add more water. If it’s not sweet enough, just gradually add more sugar. This was perfect for me. Y’all should give it a try.
