My neighbor came running out of her backyard the other day, screaming for help right as I was pulling into my driveway. She said her grill was on fire. I ran to the backyard and sure enough, there was a big ball of fire where the grill should have been. I cut the gas off at the bottle, and when the flames died down, this is what was left.

She had decided to welcome her hubby home with a couple of high-dollar steaks on the grill (she said they cost her about 80$ from the local butcher). I think she left them on too long 😂

I can relate, because my parents also want their steaks well done.

maybe she needs to learn how to put out a fire before trying to use the grill again, ffs

Just throw that one in the vacuum sealer and save it for when the in laws come over and request a well done steak. They won’t know the difference. Maybe scrape a little char off it and throw some fresh cracked black pepper on it.

When you’re 15 beers deep and forgot that you’re even grilling.

Do you like your steak crispy, or extra crispy?

One time similar thing happened to me because my downstairs neighbor put way too much charcoal on his grill and lit it. His GAS grill.

I generally give my dog my mistakes, but that’s a big mistake, and he would probably decline.

So what’s the best way to put out a fire on a gas grill?

She bought $80 in steak and was cooking them for her husband before he got home?

She definitely got caught with another man. This is not normal wife behavior.

“I said well done, not well ash.”

Classic rookie move! Never leave the grill unattended, especially with expensive meat like that. Learned that the hard way myself when I lost a couple of nice ribeyes a few summers ago. Glad you were there to help and that it wasn’t worse!

Grind it and use as a fertilizer for your pizza tree
