In case you haven’t heard, Toronto’s Eaton Centre will soon be home to popular Italian marketplace and retail concept, Eataly.

“Yes, it’s true! Your go-to destination for artisan Italian products and bites has a new home,” Eataly states on its website.

“We’ll be opening our doors at Eaton Centre this year and cannot wait for you to be a part of this incredible journey.”

While the exact opening date has yet to be unveiled, it’s set to launch this fall.

Once the location opens at the popular mall, Toronto will be the only North American city to have four Eataly locations.

And as the team gears up to open its doors, the company has several job positions open, if you’re thinking of working at this bustling spot.

Here’s a look at some of the jobs they’re hiring for at the Eaton Centre location.

Quick Service Restaurants Manager

The quick service restaurants (QSR) manager will be responsible for assisting with supervising and running the day-to-day operations of the QSR counters.

Qualifications include two or more years of lead or supervisory experience in food service, along with math skills and the ability to handle money accurately.

Retail Market Manager

At Eataly, the retail market manager oversees the grocery and houseware departments and reports to the general manager of retail.

In order to apply, you must have a bachelor’s degree and three or more years of retail management experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Chef de Cuisine, Central Kitchen

This position will see the chef de cuisine managing the central kitchen at the new location, overseeing all aspects of the production and preparation of ingredients.

The team will be looking for someone with five or more years of chef experience, including two or more years of management experience, and knowledge of Italian cuisine.

Chef de Cuisine

The chef de cuisine supports the executive chef team at Eataly in managing all aspects of the production of dishes.

Like the chef de cuisine for central kitchen, applicants must have five or more years of chef experience, including two or more years of management experience, along with a knowledge of Italian cuisine.

Restaurant Assistant Manager

With Eataly home to multiple full-service, sit-down restaurants, the restaurant assistant general manager oversees the day-to-day operations of a single restaurant or group of restaurants.

A bachelor’s or associate degree is required for the position and applicants must also have two or more years of experience managing a large restaurant staff.

But whether you’re interested in working as a manager or a chef, you can send in your application online. (Good luck!)

Eataly will be located across the new Nike flagship, which has yet to open, and next to the Eaton Centre’s new Simons store, which opened on Sept. 18.

But whether you’re looking to work at the Italian marketplace or enjoy a bite when it opens, buon appetito!
