The Dublin dining scene is about to get a lot more exciting, with a handful of new restaurants opening their doors in the city center this autumn.
There’s plenty for food lovers to look forward to, from a glamorous taste of Asia to a French steakhouse serving bottomless fries, and a rooftop restaurant with views across the capital.
Whether you’re looking for a date-night dinner, cocktails with a view, or delicious comfort food, there’s something new for everyone. So, which of the three new spots are you adding to your list?

The Ivy Asia Dublin will open in November next door to the existing Ivy restaurant and is set to bring the flavours of the east to the capital.
The luxury restaurant will be located on the former site of the New Ireland Assurance headquarters, and will occupy space on both the ground floor and basement level at 12 Dawson Street.

Working off the blueprint of the other Ivy Asia restaurants, the new Dublin spot will include a botanical theme with plenty of tropical plants to make you feel transported to the Far East.
The menu will hang on Asian-inspired flavours with dishes at other Ivy Asia restaurants, including crispy wontons and seared beef tataki.
The Ivy Asia is also known for its range of cocktails, with options ranging from Tokyo Twist to Singapore Summer. We can’t wait to try them!
Entrecôte

If you’re looking to impress someone special, Díon is a new rooftop experience opening in November in Dublin’s city centre that will do the talking for you.
Located on top of the iconic building of the former Central Bank on Dame Street, it boasts 360-degree views across the city and looks like it could become the place to go for a swanky night out.
Pictures of the new restaurant, lounge, and bar show a swanky interior with low, orange lighting setting the mood in the space, with its steel-and-glass windows and mirrored ceilings giving us spaceship vibes.

The rich furnishings inside take inspiration from the 1970s, with its earthy tones and low-back armchairs complementing the moody lighting, resulting in a modern, elegant feel.
An innovative cocktail menu is expected to be the highlight of the experience but Díon promises to be more than a cocktail bar.
Head Chef Neil Mulholland will be leading the team in the kitchen to serve Irish cuisine with a global influence over an all-day menu.
Gloria Osteria

Lovers of Italian cuisine are in for a real treat in 2025, as one of the best-loved Italian restaurants will open its doors here, and the countdown is officially on.
Gloria Osteria, which forms part of the international Big Mamma group, intends to embody the glamour of a traditional Italian osteria (a place to enjoy food and wine) from the 1970s, and sounds like the perfect spot to catch up with the girls over a delicious dish and a few drinks.

The space on 41 Westmoreland Street is due to open this November and has been carefully restored by Big Mamma’s in-house design team, Studio Kiki, with timber joinery handcrafted in Arezzo and scarlet Jacopo Foggini chandeliers dotted throughout the renovated 19th Century bank.
Other design highlights include the sweeping 10-metre long Rosso Levanto marble bar which will sit underneath 700 vintage bottles. As for the main dining room, burgundy is the star of the show, and the space is filled with decorations handpicked from Italian markets.
