DETROIT — Cava opened its first Detroit restaurant Friday.
The fast-casual Mediterranean restaurant opened at 636 Woodward Ave, near Shake Shack and Chipotle.
The building features 3,000 square feet with an indoor dining room and digital order pick-up and delivery. It will be open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
“We were delighted by the way the Canton community embraced our first Michigan restaurant this summer,” said Jeff Gaul, Chief Development Officer of CAVA. “As we grow across the Midwest, we’re excited to welcome Detroit to our table to experience the bold flavors of our high-quality meals and Mediterranean hospitality while living out our mission to bring heart, health, and humanity to food.”
The Detroit spot is Cava’s second Michigan restaurant. The chain is best known for its Mediterranean flavors, including spicy lamb and avocado. The restaurant allows customers to build their own grain bowls, pita sandwiches and salads.
