Jean-Luc Colombo Amour De Dieu Condrieu 2019

Colour: Pale golden with some clearing around the rim

Nose: Powerful nose of ripe apricot, pear, white peach, acacia, some vanilla

Palate: Lots of the same stone fruit as the nose and honey, and lots of spicy ginger and minerality on the long finish.

Rich, round, with medium acidity that shockingly balances out the heft and alcohol (14%), mouth coating without being overpowering, long finish, excellent.

What producers make worthwhile Condrieu?

Maybe just don’t bother with Grillet..

I’ve never had one I didn’t like, only ones I opened at the wrong time.

I really liked Yves Cuilleron’s Condrieu especially for the price at the time

Along with the one’s mentioned here, I like Perret, Rostaing, and Vernay
