Marks and Spencer has declared that its Christmas Food to Order service is now open. Despite there being more than 11 weeks until December 25, eager MandS shoppers can start ordering their entire Christmas dinner online.
The Food to Order service allows customers to order their Christmas food shop in advance, ready for collection at their local MandS on December 22, 23 or 24. It’s important to note that there is a minimum spend of £50 and a deposit is required to secure your shop.
The remaining balance is then paid when you collect your goods. Customers can book their slot on the MandS Food to Order website and browse the full Christmas range online now.
Last year, an impressive 44,000 customers booked their Christmas collection slots within the first day of the site launching – and MandS is anticipating another record number this year. The supermarket has already sold over one million Christmas products in stores.
This follows last month’s excitement when MandS posted a “Christmas Food To Order” countdown on Instagram and Facebook, which received a record number of likes, comments and shares as customers tagged friends and family to kickstart the festive planning. MandS has highlighted some top picks from its Christmas range, including its Our Best Ever Slow-Cooked Turkey, dubbed “the star of the show this Christmas”, reports the Mirror.
However, it will set you back £85 for a 2.75kg bird, which is said to serve between eight and ten people.
Marks and Spencer has tantalisingly described its turkey offering: “Expertly slow-cooked free-range Pembrokeshire turkey crown is brined in buttermilk for tenderness and sweetness. The thighs are topped with a rich chestnut and pork stuffing and covered in our signature dry-cured oak and applewood smoked bacon.”
In addition, there’s the new M&S Collection British Wagyu Rump Of Beef, coming in at £60 for a 1kg joint. MandS outlines that “This 30-day matured British Wagyu rump is luxuriously succulent and tender, specially sourced for its beautifully marbled quality. This is bound to be a showstopper at the dinner table this year! It’s elevated with a beef bone marrow and mustard butter for basting while cooking.”
For those with a sweet tooth, M&S is also offering its Our Best Ever Yule Log, weighing 835g and priced at £15. Marks and Spencer describe it as: “The Christmas classic has had a serious upgrade. This truly is the best Yule Log ever. A chocolate sponge filled with Madagascan vanilla cream and milk and dark Madagascan chocolate ganache. Hand-finished with a rich Belgian chocolate ganache and chocolate curls. Fudgy, gooey and moreish – this is sure to be a crowd please this Christmas.”
Other supermarkets offer food to order including Sainsbury’s who already have a number of items available to pre-order, including turkeys and turkey crowns and a Two Bone Tomahawk Beef Steak. Asda will also have 540 products to choose from this Christmas
