Homemade Turkish Pide
Ingredients: 500 g flour (add carefully, adjust for dough consistency), 1 tsp salt, 2 tbsp olive oil, 300 ml lukewarm water, 10 g instant yeast, 1 tsp sugar. For filling: 300 g ground beef, 1 onion, 1 red pepper, 1 green pepper, 1 grated tomato, 1 tbsp tomato paste, ½ tbsp pepper paste (optional), 2 tbsp olive oil, 1.5 tsp salt, 1 tsp black pepper, ½ tsp cumin, ½ tsp chili flakes, ½ tsp paprika, fresh parsley.
Instructions: Mix water, yeast, and sugar; let sit. Add flour gradually and then add salt and olive oil. Adjust to get a soft dough, Knead, cover, and let rise 1 hour. Mix filling ingredients. Roll dough into ovals, spread filling, fold sides, and pinch ends. Brush with olive oil, bake at 200°C for 15–20 min. Serve warm.
