Usually when I do FoodLosAngeles posts it’s for a special meal I’ve been wanting to try. Today I was at one of my “regular” spots and realized I should do a post for it.

Copenhagen Pastry is on Washington Blvd. in Culver City just east of Sepulveda. It is take out only and is closed Monday and Tuesday. I’ve never had a bad bite from this place. Staff is great. They are fast and efficient if there is a line.

This box of pastries was $35. If you live/work near Culver City and enter a function with your white box with the orange label people will literally yell “oh my god Copenhagen!” At least in my experience.

    Looks wonderful!

I need to go back there soon

  2. Their princess cake is tremendous and is a good enough 1b to Hannah’s at Quarter Sheets if you can’t make it to Echo Park

Used to go here all the time when I worked at NFL Network (when they used to be down the block that’s).

We had the raspberry lemon cake and it was one of the best cakes I have ever had. Light as air and not too sweet. Just perfect

It’s so good. Everything is delicious, and it’s a great value.

Going there and not walking out with at least one slice of the princess cake should be a felony

I asked once and the owner said she flies her custard in from France. Their food is so good, and the prices are reasonable.

I’ve never been to the one in Culver City. I haven’t had any since the Pasadena location closed. I need to make a trip

Their almond Danish is just unbelievable.

Copenhagen is the best! Having gone to Solvang to try every bakery there, I can confidently say Copenhagen is way better than any of them.

A must try LA bakery, the only place to get authentic Danish pastries in town.

F this post. It makes me so mad. There used to be a Copenhagen Pastry in Pasadena where the wife and I would go satisfy our craving for Kringles. We friggin love that stuff. So yummy and so sweet.

And just like that, the Pasadena Copenhagen Pastry was gone one day. It’s been dark times here in the SGV ever since.

Does anyone know a Kringle spot in the SGV?

I miss the Pasadena location. Too bad it closed.

Very good pastries. Years ago their prices were an absolute bargain! Now the prices are pretty typical of other places.

This place is seriously legit and I don’t know how it isn’t more well known. The pastry is literally perfect. And I watched every single great British baking show ever produced during Covid, so I’m not just some random guy.

  19. The Kringle and Napoleon Hats are sooo good from this bakery – all the cakes I’ve tried so far are bomb diggity as well 🤤

Ugh I used to love that place when I lived in Palms; definitely miss it 😫

  21. MuscaMurum

Love it. Always get a loaf of rye when I’m there, too. Why is there such a dearth of Scandinavia food in LA?

  22. This place is absolutely stellar. You can literally close your eyes and pick anything.

    Their coffee needs work though.

They look delicious but the jelly filled holes are disturbing
