Nevada is a state full of unique dining experiences, whether the resort fine dining of Las Vegas or the craft beer and coffee culture of Reno. But neither of the Silver State’s urban hubs is considered the best place to stop on a road trip. At least, according to Yelp.

Instead, the reviewing website named one rural eatery as the best place to stop on a road trip in the state. Yelp determined this by identifying restaurants with a high number of reviews mentioning “road trip,” then ranked them by volume and rating.

Here’s a look at what Yelp named Nevada’s best road trip spot and other Silver State eateries Yelp has recognized.

What is the best road trip spot in Nevada?

Yelp named Odeh’s Mediterranean Restaurant in Elko as Nevada’s best road trip spot. The rural eatery serves Mediterranean classics from kibbeh to falafel, all halal, according to a reply from one of the owners on Yelp.

Five-star reviews describe the food as “fresh, healthy and full of flavor” and its staff as friendly and accommodating to allergies or dietary preferences.

What is Nevada’s famous food?

People driving through Nevada may also want to try the Silver State’s “most iconic dish,” which Food Network said was 3 a.m. steak and eggs. Its around-the-clock availability was cited as the reason it represents Nevada best.

What is the best ice cream shop in Nevada?

Odeh’s isn’t the only rural Nevada eatery that Yelp has recognized.

Steve’s Homemade Ice Cream in Fernley was the only Nevada location to make Yelp’s best ice cream spots list. Steve’s is at 1360 U.S. Hwy. 95A N., Suite 5, in an outdoor mall across from Starbucks, just off the second highway exit into Fernley from Reno.

Reviewers praised Steve’s variety of homemade flavors, the shop’s cleanliness and aesthetic appeal and the friendliness of its owner.
