Enhanced by a Southern Mediterranean culinary style, Serra at The Chancery Rosewood in London, has initiated a unique dinner series in collaboration with the Somerset-based farm-to-table dining concept, Horrell & Horrell, starting on October 29, 2025. The series is expected to provide an unforgettable, mindful, and seasonal dining experience with fresh ingredients sourced directly from Horrell & Horrell smallholding in Somerset. Needless to say, the partnership aims to offer Mayfair the finest seasonal and sustainably farmed ingredients at this place.
Bringing Somerset’s Seasonal Bounty to Mayfair
This new collaboration will see the bounty of Somerset’s smallholding brought to the heart of London’s prestigious Mayfair. Over the course of the series, Chef Alex Povall of Serra will work closely with the Horrells, whose small farm has earned a reputation for producing exceptional, seasonally inspired dishes. Each event in the series will feature a menu crafted from ingredients grown, reared, and foraged from their Somerset land, providing a unique farm-to-table experience that reflects the best of British seasonal produce.
The first dinner in this exciting new series is set to take place on Wednesday 29 October 2025, followed by two more events on 26 November 2025 and 26 March 2026. These dinners will bring together the essence of Horrell & Horrell’s ethos of hospitality, generosity, and seasonality, offering guests an intimate, communal dining experience in the elegant setting of Serra.
The Spirit of Shared Dining
At the heart of the collaboration is the desire to create a dining experience that is both authentic and sociable. Each evening will be designed around the concept of shared dining, where guests can enjoy a variety of dishes made from ingredients that are at their seasonal peak. The menus, which will remain undisclosed until the evening itself, are meant to encourage the spirit of generosity and conviviality that is central to both Horrell & Horrell’s and Serra’s approach to dining.
The dinners will celebrate the produce reared, grown, and foraged on the Horrells’ farm in Somerset. From fresh vegetables and fruits to meats and herbs, each dish will reflect the changing seasons, offering guests a truly unique and seasonal menu each time. The surprise element of the meal encourages guests to embrace the moment, fostering a sense of connection as they share their dining experience with others.
A Complete Dining Experience: Aperitifs and Wine Pairings
In addition to the seasonal meals, guests will be welcomed with a bespoke aperitif crafted by Liana Oster, the Director of Bars at The Chancery Rosewood. The aperitif will set the tone for each evening, offering a special start to the communal experience. To complement the dishes, Jeffrey Koren, the Director of Wine, will create an optional wine pairing, selected to enhance the flavours of the ingredients and the seasonality of each course.
The attention to detail and commitment to creating an exceptional dining experience ensures that the evening is more than just a meal—it’s an opportunity for guests to connect with the seasons, the ingredients, and each other.
Seasonal Products Available at The Chancery Rosewood
In addition to the dinner series, guests will have the opportunity to take home a taste of the collaboration. Horrell & Horrell’s range of seasonal products—such as jams, chutneys, pickles, and sauces—will be available for purchase at GSQ, The Chancery Rosewood’s neighbourhood delicatessen. This retail offering extends the farm-to-table experience beyond the restaurant, allowing guests to recreate the flavours of Somerset in their own kitchens.
This move not only supports the ethos of Serra and Horrell & Horrell but also makes it easy for guests to enjoy the fresh, seasonal flavours long after the dinner series ends. By offering these products, the collaboration further encourages a deeper connection to the land and the food it produces.
