I thought this was an exclusive flavor to New York shops but found at my local store in Los Angeles this week!

The base is a strong pistachio ice cream that tastes very natural (although I do love an artificial flavor too like Thrifty’s pistachio). Lots of pistachio nuts inside, with cannoli bits that taste like pieces of a crushed waffle cone mixed in. The white ricotta swirl mixed in kind of tastes like icing, but I guess that makes sense since ricotta doesn’t have a strong flavor itself. There’s a hint of saltiness coming from maybe the pistachios that prevents this from being too sweet and gives it a light savory taste. Overall a top tier pistachio ice cream (unpopular opinion probably but a bit too much nuts in it for my personal liking)

I wish we had this in florida, that speaks so deeply to my Italian side 😭 I know for a fact that taste amazing looking at the cannoli spread.

  3. Damn that sounds delicious, don’t think I’ll see that in the Portland location though

I had this in the scoop shop and liked it! It has almost an almond extract/floral taste to it as well

Salt & Straw is amazing. Expensive, but amazing. I’ve tried their Coffee & Love Nuts, Goat Cheese/Habanero Marionberry, and Strawberry Honey Balsamic Black Pepper flavors. All of them were out of this world. Pear & Blue cheese even knocked my socks off. Also suggest their Sea Salt w/ Caramel Ribbons flavor. It’s $12-$15 per pint, but damn, fantastic! Highly recommend!!
