

I’ve been hanging onto this tin for a special occasion. And a gorgeous camping weekend including a grizzly and bison strolling through camp made it worthy of cracking open.
I’m a smoked salmon snob, and often hesitate to get it canned because it just isn’t the same as getting it fresh.
I was floored.
Katfish obviously knows what they’re doing. It was so lovingly packed, and the flavor was subtle salmon, the right amount of smoke, and just enough sweetness to bring up the natural salmon flavor.
But let’s talk texture. Firm, moist, with that little bitta leather on the outside of the fillets where the smoke kissed it. I’m not normally a skin muncher, but I ate it all. I love this tin. So much.

Sounds delicious! I’ve been hesitant about trying smoked salmon canned as well because I have a lot of fresh options available.
Keta Salmon? Never heard of it, but that can looks so delicious I just know there’s a 100% chance it was.
This looks amazing! I tried searching for it online but seems like it’s tough to find aside from ordering a case directly through their website. Where’d you pick it up from?
