Obviously it's a tart with some apple filling, topped with pecans and maple syrup or honey mix, but looking online I can't seem to find a recipe specifically like it. Would love to know if someone has a recipe for the filling, and maybe what the top is made up of 🙂

Looks like it might be tarte au sucre with pecans on top
What was the texture of the filling?
It does look like a sugar tart, which regionally lines up too
I’d try this: [Traditional French Canadian Sugar Pie](https://justplaincooking.ca/recipe/french-canadian-sugar-pie/#recipe-card), and replace the molasses with apple puree
The filling almost gives me sweet potato pie vibes with a pecan topping.
That doesn’t look like apple tart. It appears to be “pecan pie”.
looks like pecan pie to me.
which is what the other comments are describing, because sugar pie is just pecan pie without the pecans.
Oddly it doesn’t look like there’s any apples in it 🤣🤣🤣
Yeah this is pecan pie for sure.
🤔 ? Around my parts,it’s just pecan 🥧
Are you sure you didn’t just misread “tarte aux pacanes”?
Where are the pommes though
But damn does that ever look scrumptious!
“Tarte aux pacanes”.
Damn that looks deadly delicious
Quebecois here. That isn’t tarte aux pommes (which is just apple pie btw). As other people mentioned, that looks more like a sugar pie (tarte au sucre) with pecans on top, aka just pecan pie (tarte aux pécans).
But, I’m assuming you are able to tell whether or not a pie tastes like apples lol. So it’s possible they made you a tarte au sucre, which can have maple syrup in it, and made it with an apple-flavoured ingredient like apple butter or something.
You might consider experimenting with a French Canadian sugar pie/pecan pie recipe to add apple flavoured ingredients and top it with maple glazed pécans (and maybe play around with whether or not they also used molasses).

Did it taste like apples?
So unless it is some sort of apple butter custard in there, this looks like pecan pie rather than apple pie.
I really opened this thread hoping that there was actually such a thing as an apple pecan pie/tart I’d just never heard of before. Because that sounds really delicious. Agree this simply looks like a pecan pie. Also delicious.
you ordered tart des pommes and they thought you said tart de pecons
Yeah look for tarte au sucre with pecans. Definitely not a tarte aux pommes.
It looks very much like this [Tarte aux pacanes et à l’érable](https://www.ricardocuisine.com/recettes/6122-tarte-aux-pacanes-et-a-l-erable) from Ricardo (pecan and maple pie).
And as many here suggested, tarte au sucre is a French-Canadian classic which is probably what this was inspired by.
It’s just a version of the souths pecan pie.
No pommes there. Looks like tarte au sucre with pecans on top.
Or, more likely, just a regular pecan pie, LOL. Looks very much like the one I get at Loblaws. You’ve been bamboozled!
…isnt that just a pecan pie?
Pumpkins pecan pie
A pecan pie.
That’s a pecan pie brother
You ordered apple pie and they gave you pecan pie.
