Planning on doing smoked lamb chops for Thanksgiving this year over brisket (family looks forward to the brisket – added last year's for reference) so been trying to perfect over last few months. Smoked for 1 hour at around 230, medium rare internally. Looking ready for the big leagues or no?

If your family loves your brisket do a brisket. The lamb chops look amazing though.

You’ve gotta have two meats at Thanksgiving!

Oh man…. tough choice. I love both. I’m in the mood for brisket though.

What seasoning did you use on the lamb chops? Looks amazing!

Oooh I love the deviation from the standard bird. If you can, I’d do both. Otherwise I’d go with brisket depending on how much the people you’re serving like lamb. I’m jealous that you even have an option. I have always wanted to do a different protein, but apparently it’s “traditional” and my turkey slaps. Hope you have an incredible birdless feast my friend!

Those look awesome. We have been doing grilled lamb chops for some holidays and they definitely fill you up fast. Costco has a great deal on their lamb packs.

Chops all the way! Low maintenance, high yield!

There’s not a lot of benefit to low and slow lamb chops. They’re pretty lean and already tender. Do the brisket and maybe go hot and fast lamb chop appetizer?

I’m going to need a sample of each to give you a proper recommendation. Wouldn’t want to lead you in the wrong direction
