  1. One rock aint bad. Don’t eat it and you should be fine.

  2. barbasus

I have found nails and wires. Stopped buying Royal Oak.

Happens all the time with all brands of charcoal. Sometime rocks get intertwined in the timber and grow into them.

  4. Atticus1354

It happens frequently. Wood is moved around by heavy equipment through many stages of processing and sometimes a rock makes it through with it.

Every royal oak bag ive used had bushit in it like rocks, screws/nail….etc. i dont waste my money on that brand anymore

Don’t buy this garbage. It’s cheap because at least some percentage is construction waste. I’ve gotten tar substances oozing from this exactly twice. First time shame on them, second time, no more money for royal oak. That crap was hard as hell to clean out of my grill and stained my damn patio. 🤨

  7. I hate that crap. The briquettes won’t hardly start in a chimney

  8. tholmblad

Its sold by the pound they add rocks to make it heavier. They have been scamming everyone for years.

Royal oak is usually at least 20% garbage. You didn’t realize it but you burn a bunch of garbage during your cook.

Have a full container full of the from Royal Oak. Send a nasty gram email to them and you might get a free bag. Note that the charcoal is sold by weight.

It must be a regional thing. Every bag of Royal Oak I’ve ever bought has been great. B&B, on the other hand, have all been absolute dog shit.

    Free bag of charcoal token!

Grab the info off the bag and email Royal Oak with your findings. They either send you a coupon or a replacement bag.

That’s really common, honestly, I don’t think I ever bought a bag of royal oak that didn’t have at least 1-2 big rocks in it.

  14. A little rock, a little metal, and some lump charcoal. Sounds like Royal Oak 😂

  15. Tha_Maestro

Yup. Thats exactly the reason I stopped buying royal oak. I would find rocks, pallet wood, nails, random objects that have nothing to do with charcoal. Now I use B&B and I’m never going back.
