I averaged about $160 per market with $180 being the highest that ran from 4-7:30. I sold classic salted at $3 a piece, cinnamon sugar bite cups at $6 each and pepperoni twists at $4 each. $180, $150 and $130 and my dough failed the final market so I couldn't attend. About 4 to 5 hours worth of work plus the 3.5 hours at the market so i did pretty damn good!

It was great to finally get out there and sell other flavors for once and interact with a bunch of people all at once and meet other small local businesses. I have since been invited to sell at a couple bars in town so i now have a "route" of 2 bars that will have weekly deliveries.

Great learning experience, had a lot of fun and met some great people, considering i have horrible social anxiety, i still had a good time

I think you may be under valuing the pretzels. While I LOVE a good deal. I think a pretzel that size is worth 5$ easily

Cool. You should have your contact info so people can buy direct. This is an opportunity.

I would like a pepperoni twist right now.

Congrats! The pretzels look amazing and it sounds like you did some great networking 🙂 now if only images were edible (seriously, they look delicious lol)

Ooh, those look yummy! And awesome job not letting anxiety stand in the way!

Wait, 4-5 hours of work per market or total?

Maybe look into pairing up with a vendor who makes mustard or jams and have a sample of their product with yours at both of your booths. Set up next to each other even. I know I’d love to be able to pair homemade pretzels with a great local made mustard.

Do they hold up well where someone could buy 6 for $15 and take home and warm in microwave? Thinking you may make more money by having some higher price points.

Also have you thought about increasing their size and charging $5 instead of $3.  Auntie Anne’s locally is $5 a pretzel and yours look better.

How do you keep them fresh and soft?? I feel like mine get very chewy unless they’re warm

I’m not a baker, I’m just a regular farmer’s market customer, and I think you should charge more!!! I’d pay $5 for the classic salted, $7 for the pepperoni and $8 for the cups!!

Is it rude to ask for a recipe or for tips on how to make better pretzels? I love them but I can never seem to get them right!

well done you! sorry to hear about the last week, that must have been such a sad happenstance.

You should consider adding a German-style käse-brezel, which is just a normal soft pretzel (though I think without the large salt) with grated cheese on top that’s then air fried or broiled. It’s my favorite bakery item whenever I visit Germany.

Just a suggestion but if you want to make a bit more margin make up huge jugs of homemade lemonade and sell large cups for $1.50. Pretzel and lemonade is a classic twist and it costs pennies to make large quantities of lemonade.
