(KNUE-FM) In Texas we go big for everything, and after a big meal, most of us would love to have a delicious, sweet treat as a dessert. And we have plenty of delicious options here in the Lone Star State no matter what you’re craving, whether it’s a chocolate brownie, cookie, cupcake, cobbler, or even some amazing ice cream.
Although, there was a list that was created ranking the 10 best desserts in America and there was one dessert that made the list and comes from the great state of Texas!
I’m positive that I am not the only person who has grown to have more of a sweet tooth the older I get. Years ago, I had more self-control to say no to dessert but now I am always able to find a little more room in my stomach for a treat.
I was intrigued to find out which popular dessert from Texas made the list because it’s not what I expected. Obviously, Blue Bell Ice Cream is one dessert that I feel like could have made the list below, but it wasn’t the Texas-based ice cream that made the list of best desserts.

It wasn’t Peach cobbler or Pecan pie, the Texas dessert that made the list for best desserts in America was the Texas Sheet Cake! And now everyone is drooling a little thinking about a delicious piece of Texas sheet cake with loads of chocolate and probably a glass of milk to wash it down.
