I live in Northern Canada, and we have a very short growing season for tomatoes (120 days in a good year). I got tired of all of my beefsteak varieties freezing on the vine before they ripened, and shifted to all mid size/cherry varieties this year.
This was also the year I switched to raised beds and in ground irrigation. The combination of that and the new varieties landed me my best ever harvest-close to 200 lbs.
I’ve spent the past three weeks canning, drying and giving away tomatoes as fast as I can harvest them.

What’s your soil mix and fertilization routine and stuff? Because that’s a crazy good harvest! What varieties are you growing?
