Tickets for the 78th Wake Forest Community Christmas Dinner, celebrating volunteerism and the beginning of the holiday season, are now on sale at The Forks Cafeteria, 339 Brooks Street, until Nov. 19.
The dinner is always the first Monday in December and will take place Dec. 1 at 6:30 p.m. at The Forks.
Tickets are $25 each and in addition to dinner will include entertainment, volunteer recognition of the 2025 Citizen of the Year, Organization of the Year and the Peggy Allen Lifetime Achievement Award, presented by Mayor Vivian Jones, and will conclude with a sing along.
“Now in its 78th year, this dinner brings the joy of Christmas to Wake Forest. It’s an annual holiday tradition open to anyone in our community to attend. Join us to kick off the season in the most spectacular way”, said WFCCD Chair Angela Jamison.
The Sleigh Belles will bring the gold standard in holiday entertainment. This trio, inspired by the iconic Andrews Sisters, they blend classic holiday tunes with contemporary favorites, infusing each performance with nostalgic charm and festive spirit. Table decorations are provided by local organizations who are members of the Wake Forest Community Council, that organizes and votes upon the Volunteer Awards.
WFCCD began at the close of World War II as a way to come together as a community to share a meal, celebrate civic life in Wake Forest, sing Christmas carols and enjoy fellowship with friends and neighbors.
