Sharing my recent experience with HelloFresh because others should check their orders.
• I confirmed my meals earlier this week.
• The app later changed my order without my consent, leaving me short a meal and charged $57 for food I didn’t want.
• When I raised it, support actually acknowledged this is a known issue some customers are experiencing. Screenshots attached.

Instead of a refund, they tried to fob me off with credits, which doesn’t fix the fact I was out of pocket and wasted the 40% discount they’d given me for a previous mistake. This is the second major issue in two weeks.

I’ve cancelled my box and left feedback that the brand has taken a dive over the past couple of months – wrong meals, poorer quality produce, credits instead of refunds.

Advice: double-check your HelloFresh orders before cutoff and after because even if you confirm them, the app can change them afterwards.

Anyone else been burned by this bug?

    Man at least you guys have the option of a refund. All we get in the US are credits.
    I’m sorry you’ve been having problems. Unfortunately they seem to be universal as Hello Fresh likes to pull that rubbish over here too.

    US. Yes! I use the website on my laptop and it *consistently* removes my chosen items from the bag and replaces them with others. I actually called them about two months ago and reported this issue, but the person I spoke to did not seem to think it was a significant problem. My workflow looks like this:

    1. I login to hellofresh.com.
    2. I delete the 2 meals Hello Fresh chose for me – I rarely like their choices.
    3. I turn on a filter for NO TREE NUTs.
    4. I choose 2 new meals and place them in the bag. The Bag remains correct at this point.
    5. I choose my free item and add it to the bag.
    6. Now the bag is wrong – typically, my chosen meals have been removed and replaced by the 2 original meals. Occasionally, a random meal appears in the bag, replacing my choices. This happens EVERY time. They’ve got a simple, repeatable defect in their software.

    I have definitely had this happen, and was so bummed bc I just assumed that I had made a mistake and confirmed the wrong meals. Then I had it happen again after knowing that I specifically chose some meals, but luckily caught it before the window closed to change it.

    I’m now verrrrry careful about checking the evening before it closes to check my meals. Glad to hear that I’m not crazy!
