RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – Every year for the past several years Cookies for Kindness has collected and distributed hundreds of Easter baskets to families in need of help creating holiday magic for their children. To support the Easter basket collection drive, Cookies for Kindness hosts a dinner fundraiser. And this year they’re going bigger than ever with an Italian buffet.

Founder Thomas Hill stopped by Morning Break to invite the community to The Bridge Church (1330 Foster Drive, Reno) Saturday, Feb. 15. It will be a Valentine’s Day themed event with a full Italian menu. And the church’s dining hall will be fully decorated for Valentine’s Day. The event includes, dinner, guest speakers and a whole lot of community spirit.

The event takes place between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Cost is $20 per person. Click here to purchase tickets. There’s a Facebook page to learn more.

Cookies for Kindness, The Bridge Church and Reno Arch Lions Club partner together for the Easter basket donation event. They are looking to assemble between 1,000-1,500 Easter caskets this year which they will distribute between April 5-13 .
